English Mastiffs

The Mastiff is a breed of extremes and poor breeding can cause extreme vet bills and suffering. When well bred, there are very few health risks/vet costs. When poorly bred, you might as well buy stock in a vet clinic. In our breeding program, we do all we can to ensure you will get a healthy companion that will require very little vet care save the routine vaccines and office visits .

These are very large dogs and are not for everyone! Please take time to research this breed to decide if this is the breed for you and/or your family. If, after researching, you decide to add one to your family, please contact us. We will be glad to answer any questions you might have. If we are unable to find your answer, we will do all we can to locate it!

Three of my mastiffs came from Trudy Kordsmeier in Morrillton, Arkansas. She raises some of the finest English Mastiffs around!! You can visit her site and see her babies here.  She has owned parents and grandparents of my three, General Sherman, Kitty Kat and Suki. Trudy, (and I quote), "started with the 8 of the best CH bloodlined studs and 5 CH sired females. Each had the traits and qualities needed to bring back what was lacking in today's Mastiffs."   From these original dogs, she put together the Mastiffs of Old and in 2008 for the first time ever, she has all lines combined! She has bred and raised over 6 generations of her own lines. She is well schooled on this breed.

We offer for sale family companions as well as show puppies for fanciers. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

All  of our Mastiffs are out of champion lines.  In our breeding we attempt to produce puppies that are of championship quality.  Though every puppy is not perfect in "form"and should be shown in the show ring, it has always been and will continue to be, our goal  to produce a intelligent, healthy, sound dog that meets or exceeds the Mastiff Standard - in the show ring or as a companion.

All of our breedings with our mastiffs have been for a reason - to improve upon the breed!   We choose the best lines posssible and realize all the hard work that has been put into their background.  We are combining different premium lines to produce our offspring. We appreciate all the hard work, sweat and tears that others before us have poured into their dogs so we can now have them here with us to appreciate!  Please know that we do not take it for granted!  It is our earnest desire to continue in their footprints and, hopefully, be just as successful in improving the breed!  (Though, I don't think this breed could get any better, do you? :)

Sherman  is grand sired by CH Lazy D's Groppetti Six PK To Go. His full littermate brother, Kordsmeiers General Lee, has just started his show career and won both classes and is on his way to his CH of Merit! Our first show is in Montgomery, AL - Saturday, April 25, 2009.  Come see us there!

Sherman, Kat and Suki have excellent pedigrees including Groppetti (LOTS), Greiner Hall, Twin Oaks, Titan’s Knoll, Acorn Hills, Petrosec, Greco, Nightstalker, Old School, Semper Fi, Justamere, Stonebrook, Southport, and many, many more...not to mention some of the best imported English lines! Our Mastiffs produce babies that have depth of body, very high tail sets, excellent bone to muscle ratio, perfect dark pigment (mask/ears), tight cat-like feet, excellent solid top lines and (to die for) Gargoyle heads!

These are bred to be your OLD STYLE TYPEY MASTIFFS. We never breed two Mastiffs together without a goal in mind. Our SOLE PURPOSE is to improve upon the breed  and with each breeding , producing better quality  dogs than the parents themselves!  If not to improve on the breed, then why ??

All our puppies are AKC registered and MUST go to loving homes - so please don't be offended when you are questioned about your puppy's potential new home/living conditions !  So many people THINK they want a Mastiff but  have not taken the time to consider everything involved when purchasing one of these babies from us or anyone else!

Prices are $1200.00-$2500.00.  ONLY show/breeding quality will come with full registration as every puppy should not be bred.  This is done to preserve this marvelous breed!  I, more often than not, will sell a puppy with limited registration due to the fact that alot of people have unethical breeding practices.  One, for example, is a  puppy mill.  For those of you who do not know what a puppy mill is, I will explain a little.  Puppy mills, sometimes known as puppy farms, are large-scale  commercial facilities who keep dogs solely for the purpose of making money.  Puppy mills are inhumane breeding facilities. Puppies are often sick when sold.   They usually offer no medical care, no exercise, no socialization and very poor diets.  Furthermore, when you ask for help or advice, the seller of your new puppy is not attentive to your needs/questions/concerns. After all, they did not care for their animals in the way they should have, why should they care about you.  They do not care about the welfare of their dogs nor that the breed itself remain what the standard was ordained to be from the breed beginning by foundation breeders.  This method of breeding is traumatic on the dogs/puppies and I do not condone this  practice - using dogs as "puppy factories".
.
I offer a full 2 year health guarantee when you purchase your puppy from us. I am committed to be here for you and any questions you might have.
